Printable version of Act III Quests The Golden Bird Quest Icon Quest Given By entering the Spider Forest and finding the Jade Figurine Quest Location Spider Forest, Kurast Docks Quest Goal bring the Golden Bird to Alkor Quest Reward potion of Life How to get there: Kurast Docks (W) Spider Forest (W) (W) indicates a Waypoint location To activate this quest, go into the Spider Forest, and after killing the first Unique monster, search the ground for a jade figurine. Return to town and speak with Cain, who will tell you to talk to Meshif. Speak with Meshif, who will give you a gold bird in exchange for the jade figurine. Return to Cain, who will tell you to speak to Alkor. Alkor will identify it as the Golden Bird of Ku Y'leh. Leave his shop, and then return, and he will give you a potion of life, which will add 20 points to your life statistic. Jade Figurine Potion of Life The Golden Bird Blade of the Old Religion Quest Icon Quest Given By Hratli Quest Location Flayer Jungle Quest Goal retrieve the Gidbin Blade Quest Reward a rare ring, one free mercenary How to get there: Kurast Docks (W) Spider Forest (W) Great Marsh (W) Flayer Jungle (W) (W) indicates a Waypoint location Speak with Hratli to activate the second quest. The Gidbin Blade will be found in the Flayer Jungle. The symbol for the blade will appear on your map, when you are close. When you've found it, return to the Kurast docks, and give the blade to Ormus; he will give you a rare ring as a reward. Go and talk to Asheara and she will give you a free Iron Wolf mercentary as a reward. You will also now be able to hire additional mercenaries from Asheara. Cain will tell you that you have to find Khalim's eye, brain, heart and flail, and transmute them into Khalim's Will, which you will use to destroy the Compelling Orb. Khalim's Eye will be found in a chest inside the Spider Cavern. The chest will be guarded by Sszark the Burning, a cursed, extra strong, unique spider. Khalim's Brain will be found in a chest on level 3 of the Flayer Dungeon. The chest will be guarded by the Witch Doctor Endugu, a fire and magic resistant unique shaman. Khalim's Heart will be found in the sewers of the Kurast bazaar. Khalim's Flail will be found in Travincal, and will be dropped when you kill the unique high council member. The flail is guarded by three uniques: Ismail Vilehand (extra fast and cursed), Toorc Icefist (cold enchanted and stone skin), and Geleb Flamefinger (extra strong and fire enchanted). Once you have obtained all the relics, return to town and talk to Cain. He will tell you that the relics must be transmuted in the Horadric Cube to transform them into Khalim's Will, which you will use to destroy the Compelling Orb. The book is located in 1 of the 6 ruined temples in Kurast: two are located in the Kurast Bazaar, two are located in Upper Kurast, and two are located in the Kurast Causeway. You will find a unique monster inside the temple containing the book: Battlemaid Sarina, a unique hunter, who is extra fast and has spectral hit. Once you retrieve the book, return to Alkor, and he will give you 5 attribute points, and you will also now receive a 10% discount with all merchants in Kurast. Battlemaid Sarina Lam Essen's Tome The Blackened Temple Quest Icon Quest Given By Ormus Quest Location Travincal Quest Goal eliminate the High Council Quest Reward access to the Compelling Orb How to get there: Kurast Docks (W) Spider Forest (W) Flayer Jungle(W) Lower Kurast(W) Kurast Bazaar(W) Upper Kurast(W) Kurast Causeway Travincal(W) (W) indicates a Waypoint location This quest is activated when you speak to Ormus after your character enters Travincal for the first time.  He will tell you that the High Council of Travincal has to be destroyed.  This quest will be completed in tandem with the Khalim's Will quest.  You must search for the Blackened Temple, located in the central area of Travincal.  Destroying the members of the High Council will give you access to the Compelling Orb.  Use Khalim's Will to destroy the Compelling Orb, and open the entrance to the Durance of Hate. Travincal Durance of Hate Entering Durance of Hate The Guardian Quest Icon Quest Given By Ormus Quest Location Durance of Hate Quest Goal defeat Mephisto Quest Reward Mephisto's Soulstone and access to Act IV How to get there: Kurast Docks (W) Spider Forest (W) Flayer Jungle(W) Lower Kurast(W) Kurast Bazaar(W) Upper Kurast(W) Kurast Causeway Travincal(W) Durance of Hate(W-level 2) (W) indicates a Waypoint location Speaking to Ormus will activate this quest; he makes it sound so easy. Just go and kill Mephisto. Mephisto will be found on level 3 of the Durance of Hate. You will also encounter three uniques: Wyand Voidfinger (mana burn and teleportation), Bremm Sparkfist (aura and lightning enchanted), and Maffer Dragonhand (extra fast and strong and teleports). Once you have defeated them, make your way to Mephisto. He will attack with lightning and poison. When Mephisto dies, pick up his soulstone, and the Infernal Gate wil be opened, which leads to Act IV.
